Luigi Bosca Gala 3 – Blend Viognier Chardonnay & Riesling

Luigi Bosca Gala 3 is a pioneer among Argentinean White blends. Intense yellow coloured with green hues, it has delicate and honeyed aromas, with white fruit, floral and spicy notes. It is fat, refreshing, deep and well-bodied in the mouth and fresh and elegant in the palate, with a very expressive character and many layers of flavours and textures. Long, mature and balanced finish. It is a wine with a unique character and good ageing potential.

Winemaking: The three varieties are vinified separately exactly the same way. The grapes are hand-picked in boxes from 18 to 20 kilograms, bunches are selected and then pressed with the whole cluster, except from Riesling, that is de-stalked and macerated in press for 8 hours at 10 °C. Before the fermentation process, a cold budbreak is conducted for 36 hours. After that, Viognier and Rieslings musts are fermented using selected yeasts in stainless steel tanks at temperatures that range from 14 °C to 16 °C. Chardonnays must is fermented in new oak barrels, where it is aged for six months. The other two varieties are kept in stainless steel tanks in contact with fine lees. Once the ageing is finished, the final blend is done and then wine is stabilized, filtered and bottled. Before its launch into the market, it is stowed in cold storage (at 7 °C) for at least six months.
